From prosecution to defense

Yale M. Sanford is a Miami criminal defense attorney and former Miami-Dade County Assistant State Attorney. Before founding his firm, Yale handled thousands of criminal cases as a prosecutor, ranging from misdemeanor offenses to serious felonies and homicide cases. That experience gave him an inside understanding of how criminal cases are investigated, charged, evaluated, and resolved — experience he now uses exclusively on behalf of the accused.

Working with Yale

Yale has built his practice around direct access, sound judgment, and individualized strategy. He does not believe criminal defense should be handled with a one-size-fits-all approach. Every case presents different facts, different risks, and different priorities, and the strategy should reflect that. When a client hires Yale, they work directly with him. He remains personally involved in the case, the strategy, the negotiations, and every major decision from beginning to end.
